As caregivers, we all love a good deal, especially in this economy. Shopping at one of the various dollar stores (The Dollar Store, The Dollar Tree, The 99 Cent Store, etc.) can shave quite a bit off your monthly household and care giving budget.

This classy device will set you back as much as $179, which is a bit steep considering that you can buy a Bluetooth headset now for as little as $30, but you get what you pay for.

Use lithium battery stocks the battery. Li-Ion safety circuits do a lot of great things to keep it in good condition, but they're going to go south if you don't use them. There is no wonder they're stored charged to half-capacity. If you most often use your netbook using AC power while you're at home, make sure that you let it run to the point where windows gives critical battery level warning at least two or three times a week.

At only 6 1/8 inches long and having a weight of 3.4lbs including the battery, you can transport it anyplace. It also arrives with a company bag and tool box, so you can take it anyplace without breaking it.

ONickel Metal Hydride (NiMh) - Popular battery about 1-2 years ago. They are lighter than Nickel Cadmium batteries, but heavier than Lithium mines Ontario batteries. These should be cycled once in a while for optimum performance.

Some experts talk about running water being safer than still water, but studies have found lake water to be among the cleanest because the ultraviolet rays of the sun kill bacteria near the surface. When taking water from a lake or pond, take water under the surface, but near the surface. Check the rate of water that is flowing into and out of the lake. Are there any stock animals or other animals that could make the water impure?

Grooming items are iffy but worth checking out. Shampoo is a decent find as are scrubbies/loofahs. Items like Chapstick and Vaseline can often be found there and my very favorite soap (Yardley oatmeal and almond) is almost always available at the dollar store. Nail files, packages of combs, tooth flossing sticks are of value. Skip the cotton swabs (too flimsy and could be dangerous), make-up (due to lack of regulation), and make-up remover pads (can I just say UGH!?).
